Big Bolton Wildlife Friendly Garden Competition
Do your bit to support Bolton's wildlife by entering the competition!
“Do a bit to help a lot!
We're partnering with Bolton Lever Rotary this summer to encourage everyone to "Go Wild in Your Garden!". The aim of the competition is to get people creating a space to encourage the local wildlife, and do a little bit to help a lot! You don’t even need to have a garden to take part – any outdoor space, however small, can become a mini wildlife haven. It means creating new areas with flowering plants, bird feeders, insect hotels, bird baths or even ponds to help encourage our wildlife back into urbanised areas around Bolton.
This competition is FREE to enter, and is open to all Bolton residents between BL1 and BL7. Request an information pack from wildlife@boltonrotary.org.uk with ideas about how to make your space more wildlife friendly! There are three categories:
· Gardens or part of a garden
· Courtyards, Patios, Balconies or Window Boxes
· Community organisation or group
Email your entries to wildlife@boltonrotary.org.uk, with photos and a brief note on what you've accomplished with your space!
The competition closes on August 16th, and winners will receive one of the great prizes!
